Beginner Pilates Mat:
This class starts at a slower pace to lay down a solid foundation for your understanding of the traditional Pilates exercises. You will gain core strength by focusing on alignment, deep postural muscles, mobility of the spine and breath.
Intermediate Pilates Mat with Props:
This Intermediate workout will use some of the many Pilates props including therabands, foam rollers and stability balls to challenge your body. Some Pilates experience is recommended.
The class is open to everyone but will address the issues associated with osteoporosis, adhesive capsulitis, carpal tunnel syndrome and forward shoulder syndrome. By emphasizing weight-bearing exercises, this class helps to slow the progression of bone loss.
Exercising during your pregnancy can provide you with more energy, less physical discomfort, strength you need for labor and a quicker recovery. As your body goes through many changes, join us for a class that emphasizes core stabilization, pelvic floor strengthening, postural improvement and flexibility.
New mothers can reconnect and gain strength in their abdominals and pelvic floor through a series of individual Postpartum sessions. Call or email to schedule a session and as always, feel free to bring your little one with you.

These popular classes are an economical way to experience the Pilates apparatus. The unique Pilates machines provide varying degrees of resistance and stability using springs and pulleys. Our instructors balance client requests while creating a challenging and innovative workout. We encourage you to have some Pilates experience here at b a l a n c e before signing up for an Apparatus class.
